EC Foundations is proud to be the only Shotcrete applicator servicing the residential market in the Ottawa region. Shotcrete is an appropriate and effective solution when deterioration and delamination has worked its itself deeper into the foundation wall, compromising its structural integrity.

Shotcrete is a highly effective technique used to restore and strengthen damaged rubble foundation walls. This method uses a special mix of concrete that is strategically projected onto the rubble foundation wall using specialized equipment, including a feeder hose and nozzle. The nozzle uses compressed air to shoot the concrete onto the surface at a high velocity, with control and accuracy.

First, the EC Foundations team will remove all the deteriorated and delaminated concrete until solid concrete becomes exposed. Next, we will secure 11-gauge wire mesh with high impact nails to ensure a solid mechanical bond. Finally, our experts will conduct the Shotcrete technique to restore and strengthen your home’s rubble foundation walls.

To complete the job, the walls are then waterproofed.
